Question What projects are you working on this week 5/5?

I bought 16 yards of slinky navy blue fabric yesterday for $1.00 a yard. I checked and even at clearance price, curtains would have cost me almost $50.00 so it's a great savings and is actually what I wanted.

I'm going to make 4 sets of curtains for Ds's new room. He has 4 windows and thinks the blinds and sheers just aren't enough. Also it will help to refract the heat this summer.

I'm just going to make simple curtains with a pocket. I don't really like sewing with slinky material but I wanted something that kind of flowed. KWIM?

I'm still working on the lap quilt for my Dad and an afghan which will probably be hidden in the closet, LOL (someday I'll get it right).

What are all of you working on this week?

I finished one set of curtains and tiebacks for them. I put them in my sewing room windows as they also get the long days sun. Our computer is in the same room now so these are going to be great for glare.

When ds gets home I'll see if he likes them and let him try them in his room so I'll know if I should make 4 more sets like them. They were very easy to sew and I really didn't have a problem with the slinky fabric.

Hey, I feel good cause I accomplished something today.

I sewed up a number of new hankies with soft flannel for dd.

    Just now finished ds's pjs.

I'm working on making a number of quilt blocks for a project I'm doing. And I'm also doing blocks for one of our grandsons.

    This coming week I'm:

~cutting out 2 prs of pjs for dd
    ~sewing those up
~finishing as many quilt blocks as I can get done
~doing an applique tote bag that I purchased the pattern for yesterday

Whoa CJ! You are so motivated!

I bought all the fabric last week to make me a tote bag. It is not appliqued but pieced and has a girl on the front and the handles are jump ropes, LOL, so cute. I'm going to wait till I have finished the lap quilt before I start on it.

Have a great week crafting and sewing.
