What colors are you drawn to in your fabric selections?

Do you prefer a specific color, colors based on tone (such as light or dark), bright rainbow colors? I find color the most interesting part of quilts from Artists I admire, as well as my own quilts. When I choose colors for my Niece it is always the color that she loves at the moment. It's what I choose to make her feel good. I do however have a very favorite color and that's blue. I love all tones of it, but there is something about it that I am completely drawn to it each and every time I see it.

I like blue too, and green. I like the milky tones of those colours and I love them together. I don't like any bright colours and I don't like those mottled fabrics. I like red and green together and also purple and green.

I love color and I'm drawn to most colors except orange.

My favorites though are pinks/burgundies/dark greens and my all time favorite color is dark green. I find myself using these colors a lot in quilting.

When it comes to sewing, I'm not quite as pickie. Dd picks out her own material and when it comes to making pj's as long as the flanelette is cute, I'll sew with it.

I love purple--- I prefer the dark, rich amethyst purple, but love to mix it with lavender, periwinkle, etc. I also like to add in some bright yellow for fun.

I love all colors but when it comes to quilting you will almost always find me using a shade of green.

I never sew for myself. I usually pick out cute fabrics for the things I make for my DDs. ONe is into red and the other purple, so I try to accomodate that.

Bright rainbow colors are my favorites. I especially like purples, pinks and some blue shades though (parakeet, peacock colors).
