Diaper sewing...
Im totally new at sewing and have been working on some cloth diapers for Sara for when she gets here...what im using is...for the inner layer some old prefolds and i bought some flannelish stuff for the outter layer...
Any suggestions on other fabrics ect..i can use...I know PUL is way too expensive for me to ever use...as far as for covers...
Any other cloth diaper sewing mommies out there???
Nice to meet everyone...

Sorry Wendy, I don't have kids so don't make diapers, but PUL is the only thing I have heard other ladies use for the outside.
Hope someone can help you here......~~ Dee ~~

I've heard some use Malden Mills fleece, ultrex, or wool (some knitted wool too)

Here are some very useful links Wendy. I don't have kids, but I have made my cloth pads based on some of these sites. I hope they are useful for you!

hey there! I use pretty much everything and everything I can use. tshirts, towels. blankets, old fleece winter jackets.
oh yeah I make diapers too.....lol
Malden mills fleece is really nice. and old wool sweaters are great - just wash a few times in really hot, then cut apart and either use like that or stitch together
I can't find my links to the various pages I have saved....
but if you google 'free diaper sewing' and wool diapers there are a TON of great sites!
