I have THE dumbest question...lol
I saw some ADORABLE flannel baby print material at Joann Fabrics..I like them so much more then alot of the receiving blankets in prepackaged sets. Plus they seem "sturdier" then alot of the store bought ones. I want to use them for swaddling. My questions is if I have it cut for me do i need to "finish" the edges? Will it fray if i leave them unfinished? I was thinking of just using pinking sheaars?( Thats what the scizors they make waves is called right?)
Also w0uld they be better if i doubled them? Like put a backing on them?
Sorry i am so totally clueless with the simplest of things..lol

First of all, no question is a dumb question.
Yes Carol you have to finish off the edges, flannel will fray. I don't think using pinking shears will hold for more than a couple of washings.
If you are going to double them, that will take care of the edges.~~ Dee ~~
