    Question Pattern weights?

Does anyone here use pattern weights vs. pinning when cutting out something to sew?

I decided to make my own vs. buying them. I had Dave buy me the largest washers he could find at Home Depot. He came home with a set of 25. They weren't as big as I would have liked, so I stacked 3 of them together, and threaded yarn through/around them. I have only done the yarn on one of them because I thought it would be something different and fun that Kathryn can help me with when she gets home.

I cut out a shirt for me to sew using the washers stacked (before I started with the yarn thing), and I have to say that it was much faster than pinning

I'm sure the weights are much faster than pinning, but I don't have any...at least for the moment.
