Used my sewing machine!

Yesterday I actually got my sewing machine out and used it! I haven't touched it in so long but anyway, I made some sachets out of fabric samples I had from several years ago and potpourri I wasn't using. I actually set the thing up and got it going all by myself and it was actually fun

And I didn't have to rip too many seams

I think I've allowed myself to be intimidated by some of my family who are amazingly talented with sewing, quilting, pretty much anything to do with fabric

but I decided I might be letting my pride keep me from doing something I might enjoy.

Not sure what I'm going to do next. Probably some pillows. I need projects without patterns and straight line seams for the time being

I've actually made a dress (in highschool home ec) but trust me when I say I would never wear it out of the house! Maybe I'll get better and be able to do that someday. I know this probably sounds incredibly easy to you accomplished sewers but thanks for letting me "vent" anyway!

Great job

Keep at it and soon you'll find yourself making all kinds of things and having fun. Thats what sewing is all about anyways.

Cant wait to hear what your next project is.
