Default I need suggestions for stitchery project

My DIL and I are doing a couple of projects for a magazine to publicise our stitcheries.  We have one project sorted and need another.  Any suggestions?

What's popular with the ladies in your neck of the woods.  Please, no bags, totes, tea cozies, tablecloths, cushions or wall hangings.  We want something a little bit unusual that can have a stitchery feature.

I'd appreciate a link with photo if possible.  rofl  I don't ask for much, do I?

Pillowcases or sheets? Jeans? Socks? Canvas shoes? bookmarks?
decorative tea towels or napkins, holiday stockings, journal covers, wine bottle "bags", checkbook covers, . I'll have to think some more.

Napkins, bread basket cloth, shelf liner with the stitiching on the part that hangs down off the shelf, lamp shade cover, table runner.

If I think of more I'll post them.

Around here, the popular thing the last couple years has been emroidery on jeans, as Sara mentioned. I just gave my pair away (they haven't fit since DD was born) otherwise I would take a picture for you.

Actually, I think I still have a pair of maternity jeans with embroidery and I know Maggie has tons of jeans with emroidery on them. (As a matter of fact, I'm not sure she has a single pair of jeans WITHOUT embroidery.) She also has khaki pants with embroidery. It is usually near the front cuff(s) or on the pockets. I will dig some up and get some pictures for you.

We also have placemats, table runners, napkins, and pillow cases with needlework. I recently made personalized baby burp-cloths by embroidering various things on purchased white cloth diapers- I stiched the baby's name, her initials, flowers, dots, etc., and my friends loved them. This would also be nice in the corner of a receiving blanket.

Okay, starting at top left and working clockwise:
    -on bottom front cuff
-around bottom cuff, goes 2/3 of the way around, starting off-center in the front
    -following front-pocket border
-bottom front cuff, on special band
    -on back pocket

(These are all machine applique or emboidery.)

And these are much more common-place, but I don't have the burp-cloths anymore- they were a gift and are being well used now.

The top is the table runner, and the matching napking is folded on top of it.

The bottom is a pillow case, the sitching in the outside edge.

(These were all stitched by DH's nana.)
