    Default sari fabric?

    Hello,

    I'm starting a project to decorate the bedroom (drapes and pillows) and I'm looking for interesting sari-style fabric. A friend mentioned a website where she got a mixed bag vintage sari fabric box very cheap, but I haven't been able to find much besides eBay.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for interesting fabric options? I'm going to scour some local stores as well, but I thought I'd check!

    Sorry I don't have an answer for you...
    I have noticed that the older, woven sari fabric won't match up for curtains, etc. if it has a woven pattern. The weaving isn't consistant with machine woven fabric. You may want to stick with newer fabric. Do you have an ethnic farmers market in your area?
    We have alot of imagrints(sp) in the central valley of California. There are produce markets that sell the fabric you are talking about, during the summer...

    I just noticed in my JoAnn's flyer that they have sari fabric on sale.

    I bought a sari a few years ago. The fabric is different at both ends.

    Do you have any indian or bali shops close by? They would stock sari fabric.
