I have a pattern purchased in a store. It's Easy stitch 'n save by McCall's, pattern # 2846. You can probably find it on their website to see if it's what you want, but I don't think it's download-able. You'd have to purchase it. I believe it was one of the "cheapies" - the kind that's $1.99 all the time.

I made dd some nighties out of T-shirts. I laid the shirt flat on the floor inside out and laid dd on top of it with her neck lined up with the neckline of the shirt. I used a sharpie and marked how wide the sleeves should be and a hand width out from her little arm pits. Then I serged up the sleeve to my mark and then down to the bottom edge of the shirt. She really likes them and there are a bunch of things you can vary for different looks.

I know I posted a pic of one on here somewhere, but I absolutely cannot find it.

I'll have to try the T-shirt idea. I am in the UK and spent ages today looking at pattern sites there are alot that i like, eg. McCalls and
    http://www.sewingpatterns.com/
is having a sale but no help to me because of shipping. I am always looking for cheap/free kids clothes patterns cause new ones here cost around £6.50 each.
