shhh... don't tell my sewing machine I am here!!!
I sat down at the sewing machine this morning full of energy and a plan to get all the sewing done today. Last week I had cut out all the material for all the barbie clothes...
Like I said... full of energy... and then
I realized that for a woman who is only 11.5 inches tall, she is harder to make clothes for than I had though. Barbie now has 7 tube style dresses, 3 caftans, 2 skirts and a shirt.
I haven't even finished everything I had set aside for today.
I know I have time before the holidays, but DF reminded me that I was going to make a rice bag for his mom... and that his brother just got his first apartment and we (meaning ME) should make him a quilt. The rice bag will be made... the quilt... I have to decide home much I really do like him lol.
My best friend called me to ask if I will make her son a Garfield costume for halloween, "Sure, I will be more than happy to'... *grumble grumble* I would have said no, but I know she is low on funds and I tried to teach her how to sew once. Threading the needle was hard for her, she's nearly blind. The seams... well, lets just say the practice face cloth pillow ended up being a fancy dust cloth.
I had to escape from the sewing machine. I swear I heard it laughing at me when I had moved pile of tiny clothes from my work area.
Oh no, it caught me... it's dragging me back... help!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I am working on a quilt for my brother, too, so I know your pain.

My DD thought of the tube dress from socks herself. Little scoot did that with some old socks of hers and I said where did you get that idea? "I just thought it up" she said. She was 7 years old.

Keep making those things for your DDs. I am 32 and I still have the Barbie clothes my mom made for me. She also made a sleeping bag, pillows and blankets out of some old jeans. I thought that sleeping bag for Barbie was so cool.
