Smile Finished my first sewing project in years!!

I used to sew all the time way back when in high school, and then just kinda got out of it (like for 35 years). Well I had an apron that I had cut out for Easter. I had thought that since I was cooking Easter dinner here I wanted an Easter apron to wear. Well here it is 7 months later and I finally sewed it up last night. It has been cut out and stuck in a drawer. Well now I'm on a roll--went to Wal Mart this morning and got a pattern and fabric to make p.j.'s. After 35 years it's like starting all over again. When I get the p.j's done I think I'll try to find some pretty autumn fabric and make me an apron for Thanksgiving since I'll be hosting Thanksgiving dinner here too.

Good for you! I really need to get back with sewing too. I want to make myself some aprons, skirts, and my girls some dresses. Plus all kinds of other stuff.

That's really great. I, too, am getting back into sewing. I love to make aprons for the different holidays.

That's so neat! You've waiting a long time to catch the sewing bug, lol. I just love sewing and I found a apron in my MIL's things that I think is from the 60's so I'm trying to find some matching fabric to go with it. It's so cute! I hope you have good luck with the PJ's.

I have never sewn anything, but I have a full sized Brother sewing machine. Today I got a little sewing machine hoping it would be something I could teach myself on. Shame I never took home ec!
