~I made this today for a b-day present for my son. I used 3 yds of $1 yd fabric and 1 yard of salvaged elastic. I plan to make another set tomorrow for my daughter.~

Constance, Wow! You did a great job. I love sesame street. I've never made a sheet before, is it hard to make one? I bet your son will love them.

~It was easy to make! I just measured the mattress top and depth and added 2 inches all around. I cut squares off the corners and joined them. Then I did a rolled hem. Then I zig-zagged on a piece of elastic on each corner. The set took about an hour to make. I made a second set this week and I have enough fabric to make a third set tomorrow. I'll give the third set to my 18 month old niece. She loves Sesame Street too!~

I am very impressed. You did a great job. I am not much of a sewer but I want to be. I bought a sewing machine for my daughters last Christmas and we have made lots of pillows but not much else.
