Made a cloth pad today
~I made a second attempt at a cloth menstrual pad today. Today I actually made a paper pattern and copied the style that seems to be most popular. It's a flannel pocket style with flannel and 3X absorbant leak liner insert. I used an old ratty stained receiving blanket and I could probably make another one with it. Waterproof crib pad was free. I'm already annoyed with inserting the liner. I think I'll make an AIO tomorrow. Here are some pics.~

You did a great job. I agree though, the AIO is the way to go. Less fiddling around with stuff.

~"All-In-One", AIO. The flannel and moisture barrier all sewn together, no pocket. Everyone seems to sell the pocket kind so I thought I'd try it. I think I'll just use a safety pin on my pads, though I do have tons of sew-on snaps I could use.~

I made my girls all pads. I did the one piece ones. Then I made them panties with a front and back snap . Works great! Saves tons of money with three girls all going at once. I used a matteress pad and liner in theres. I got the idea while I was making my bed lol lol

~I'd been thinking about making some for 10 years now. Talk about procrastination! When I bought cloth diapers on Ebay from a WAHM 4 years ago, she included 5 pad inserts. She said they were for the diapers, but they were my size so I started using them. 20X more comfortable than disposable pads. Now I'm almost out of my free-after-rebate stash of pads so I thought now would be a good time to get these done!~
