Talking Chicken Denim Purse for ME!!!

I made myself a new purse. I used salvaged stretch blue jeans and a salvaged zipper. Magnetic snap and handles were new, 50% off. I'm not a real 'critter' person, but I loved this colorful chicken fabric and just had to make something with it!

~Kim, I just made it up as I went. The denim base of the purse is a top thigh loop off of a sz 14/16 pair of stretch jeans. Then I just sewed the bottom closed with angles in it. It worked up really fast but took 3 days because of my precocious DD. She's really jealous of my time at the sewing machine! Now I've got to think of a project for the rest of that stretch denim.~

well i am going to give it a try, as far as the rest of the pants, i once used the legs off jeans to make christmas stockings, you could use the pockets, for pockets inside your next purse, a book cover, doll clothes, a skirt, lol all kinds of ideas, now i need to find some jeans
