Ripped jeans, need help!
Dh has several pair of jeans ripped they're not very old. I would like to fix them but I have never patched jeans before. I don't have any patches either. Jeans are expensive and it's hard to find mens in the thrift stores. Help!

Other than making shorts out of them if possible, you could try going to a craft store or any place that sells fabric. They should have iron on patches in denium that you could use. Also, are they ripped in the same places. If so you might want to iron on some patches in the inside of the jeans where they rip to give them more structure, and hopefully lessen the chance of them ripping.

where are the rips?
iron on a demin patch from the inside and run a zig zag around the patch
on your sewing machine in the same shade blue as the demin...
in some areas you can get more creative and use thermal t shirt material if the rip is large, to where it shows and it will look good, like a fashion statement than a tear.

Thanks for the help.
One pair is ripped in the front by the zipper and over toward the pocket. Another pair is ripped on the front, I'm sure I can fix that pair with a patch. I'm so so mad he just got these jean at Christmas.
