Question What can I do with beef and precooked rice?

OK ladies, I know someone can help me out here.

In the freezer I have 1-pound bags of ground beef that I have browned and frozen.

In the pantry, I have instant beef flavored rice-- the kind that is already cooked and just needs heated up.

I KNOW there's a casserole or skillet dinner waiting there somewhere, but other than maybe adding mushroom soup, I can't quite figure out what I want to do with the two ingredients.

I have a pantry and freezer full of assorted vegetables, creamed soups, cheeses, and most normal pantry staples.  The only thing I'm out of is sour cream-- I had thought about stroganoff.

Any ideas?  TIA!

You could make fried rice. Fry up an egg and cut into small pieces, add 2 cups cooked rice, 2 Tbs soy sauce and fry it up!

With the beef, you could take one pound, add 2 cups (uncooked, but cook it ) noodles, add in a can of diced tomatoes and you have instant goulash. Add in some diced veggies if you have them. I like mushrooms and green peppers.

You could also mix one pound beef, 2 cups (again, this measurement is uncooked) egg noodles, one can mushroom soup, 1/2 can milk and instant beef stroganauff

You could use the meat and rice to make stuffed peppers.

This is a good recipe
Cheesburger Rice
1 lb lean ground beef
1 3/4 cups water
2/3 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
2 cups uncooked MINUTE White Rice
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef in large skillet; drain.
Add water, ketchup and mustard.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in 2 cups uncooked Minute rice.
Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
Cover; cook on low heat 5 minutes.

In your case leave out the water!!

I like the idea of some diced tomatoes, taco seasoning (even if it's homemade), corn, or salsa and making it mexican. Also you could do a mexican dip or something for more casual.

Hmmmm... they all sound good!

I think Bridge's recipe sounds like something DH would really like, so I'll probably try it tommorow. I'm keeping the rest of the ideas, too!

Thanks all!
