Default Unanswered: Do you have one thing you refuse to buy frugally?

For me it's shampoo and conditioner. I love my Pantene, and they could raise the price and chage $7.00 a bottle, and I would probably still fork over the money for it. I will buy the cheapest bar soap, dish soap and laundry soap I can find, but I will not skimp on my shampoo.

Does anyone else have a product/item they refuse to skimp on?

The brand of sanitary napkins I use. I will mostly use homemade SN, but if I am travelling someplace or on the road a lot, I will only use Stayfree. They're the only brand that doesn't give me a rash!!! I know...this is way too much information. But you did ask!

My coffee, I must have Folgers. Also, my dish soap. I will only use Palmolive. That's about all for me.
I used to only use Pantene as well. One day I tried the Target version of Pantene and found it to be just as good. Super cheap too.

I love the extreme fresh toothpaste, but I usually find a bunch of coupons and wait out a sale...I would buy this anyway even without a coupon. I really can't think of anything else.

hmmm, I can't think of anything right off the top of my head.
Oh, dh and I love having nachos with a movie on Saturdays and I'll only buy the, well, I don't remember the name of it! LOL
I just know what I'm buying when I see it. I think it's the, is it Tostidos brand? Something like that. We've tried others, even "homemade" and don't like anything else quite as much.

I will only use Colgate Total toothpaste since my dentist recommnended it.
I know that since I've started using Total I had a lot less plague on my teeth when I go for my cleaning visits. So I guess it probably is more frugal since hopefully it will help with future dental costs. Plus I usually always had a coupon when it buy it.

I have been racking my brain and I can't think of anything I absolutely have to have the name brand of. I do love Yankee candles but I only have two of them, they were a major treat when I got those.

I cant think of anything, I mean I buy cheap toothpaste (Aim 89cents) and V05 shampoo and conditioner ($1 each).

I found it.... I buy Nexuss Versastyler for my hair, I can't live without it even though it's like $10 a bottle but it lasts me months!

The only things I can think of are:
-soft and dri deodorant, but I wait til the 2 pks go on sale and use coupons so they end up being cheap
-candy canes, we all like the fruit flavoured ones, but I buy them after xmas for about 10 to 25 cents a box
-dd only uses ob tampons but again sales and coupons
I can't think of anything else although I'm sure there are a few more. It doesn't really make a difference for us since I won't buy it unless it is on sale.

I agree on the Heinz ketchup, everything else just tastes like sugar to me. Yuck.

Oh and I like Olay moistrizer and eye cream and their Daily Regrenating Serium. (I'm sure I spelled that wrong.) I have really sensative skins that breaks out with nearly everything so it's nice to find a product that work. I also use dove soap to wash my face with.

I used to be that way about Kraft Macaroni and cheese but now I can't have cheese so I don't have to worry about that any more.

Other than that I can't think of anything. The further along I get in the trying to be more frugal the more things that I think I can't compromise start falling off. But I'll never give up my Heinz ketchup.

Clinique lip gloss. I've tried to go cheaper, but everything else has a vile odor to it.

There are other things, I'm sure, but that's the one thing that I know there is a significant price difference between that and things less expensive.

Oh yeah, Birkenstocks. Will not wear knock-offs. Birks are expensive, but they last forever and are the most comfortable shoes ever. I buy them on Ebay mostly. A lot of sellers have brand-new Birks for way less than regular stores.
