Unanswered: Wall (erm, thread) of Shame -- What are your non-frugal indulgences?
This is a spinoff of the "What radically frugal things do you do?" thread. What things do you do that are NOT frugal? What are your indulgences? I'm curious to know the dirt on you ladies. Just kidding. You guys are just so good all of the time, it would be nice to hear some of the things that you do that are not-so-frugal.
I'll go first.
1. I buy bottled water, and refuse to drink tap water. It tastes funny to me. I spend about $4/week on a case of bottled water from Costco.
2. I menu plan and grocery shop based on what I feel like, and not on what's on sale.
3. I go out to eat about once a week. I've tried to cut it back more than that, but hubby and I end up feeling a bit deprived if we can't go out for a meal or order in pizza or something about once a week.
Okay, now it's your turn to confess. There have got to be other naughty people like me!

We like to go out to eat,but I do try to use coupons and I usually drink water. We have cut back on eating out, but sometimes it is nice to let someone else cook for a change.
We go out to eat once a week and I like to get a fancy drink when I go out to eat. I like my occasional drive thru donut shop drink, too. Those are the two biggies for me. I guess it's not that bad. I keep the heat way down, only shop second hand, and drive a thrifty, fuel efficient car. Gotta splurge sometimes, right???
I also buy bottled water and refuse to drink from the tap, but even worse than that, I drink about 6 cans of pop a day.
The TV is always on.
We have way too much cable.
I buy my groceries based on sales, but we still eat expensive foods - our steaks are all striploins, our chicken is boneless/skinless breast, we don't eat beans. My objective in the kitchen was never to be as cheap as possible, but rather to find ways to reduce costs without reducing standards. So this is an indulgence that I don't plan to change, although I do keep looking for ways to improve.
We take expensive vacations, but again, this is something that we consider important, and one of the reasons that we are frugal in other areas.
I am trying to choose a couple of areas to improve every month. In February I am planning to try to kick the pop habit, and to turn the TV off in the day.

I totally echo those with the caffeine/diet soda addictions too, but luckily I get free soda at my job, so I haven't spent money on soda in the two years that I've worked here! lol It's so lovely to have my addiction fulfilled for free every day.

DH and I both drink a lot of soda, and it has to be Mountain Dew for me, Pepsi for him. Neither of us likes the store brands.
I'm also on a kick (yet again) with iced coffee. I've been buying the bottles in bulk rather than making my own. Bulk is cheaper that buying it in the regular grocery store, but still, not frugal.
