I need to get a life!
LOL - Went to my local farm and bought milk in a GLASS bottle. I am thrilled. Reminds me of my grandmother, she always said it tasted better. I agree but it might just be in my head.
I also like Coke better in a glass bottle- It's the little things in life. What "little things" make you happy?

I like for my family to be around. I especially like all of us eating supper together. Sometimes it's the only time of the day we are all together.
I like an ice cold glass of buttermilk when I eat a slice of chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
I like to take photographs.
I like the smell of a freshly mown lawn.
I could probably make a huge list of 'little things' but I'll let someone else have a turn."Strong is what we make each other." ~ Marge Piercy

The little things that aren't so little to me:
My first iced coffee of the season
First cup of coffee in AM when I am up alone
The feeling that I get when I pull into my driveway after work
My son sharing my excitement over my "deals"
The first Iris that blooms in my yard

Chocolate cake with pink frosting (the way Grandma used to make)
The twin that wakes up early crawling in bed with me and snuggling. He always wakes up so happy.
Our kitty cats, especially the kittens. They are so lovey. You touch them and they start purring. They follow you around and plop down in front of you trying to force you to love on them.

Crocuses blooming (means spring is coming).Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

seeing my dh smile in the morning when he wakes up to me watching him
hearing a kid sigh in their sleep
watching the dogs act so human, like they know what i am thinking and act accordingily. ie: i was crying today, and my female came over and laid her head in my lap then reached up and licked my tears away.. my male just came and plopped on me.

The pets make me happy, too. Our cat is a big lover boy and he kisses me on the cheek and nibbles my earlobe for a treat. My brother has a little dog that runs and jumps on your lap and lays his head on your chest, happily kissing your hand and enjoying being petted. They don't worry about tomorrow and for those brief moments, life is perfectly wonderful.

I love the smell of Baby Magic baby lotion. It was the only lotion I would use on the kids when they were babies. It brings back so many memories of them as infants.
My niece always sends me the sweetest messages on Myspace. It is really nice to wake up and have a cute message from her.
My daughter making me a glass of tea when I really want one and didn't even ask her for it.
My son opening the door for me or any other lady.DD (19)

I really enjoy reading all of your simple pleasures. Makes me smile
I enjoy so many of those things too. Thanks for reminding me.
I enjoy:
My grandson running to me with open arms to give me a big hug.
The way my grandson's hair smells -- especially when we've been outside digging in the garden or following ants to see where they're going. . .
The way my grandson looks a little bit like his mother did when she was his age -- brings back heartwarming memories -- it's like a double pleasure.
The way everthing smells after the rain.
The seasons first ripe tomato out of my garden -- eaten just as it is like an apple, not sliced, just bitten into
Riding my bike -- wind in my hair, the way you notice things you don't see from a car.
Having all my children home for the holidays -- big family dinner, scrabble games late into the night, telling "stories" about each other growing up (I swear I'd have died from fright if I'd known somestuff they did at the time!)
Waking up early in the morning when the birds are louder than any else -- no traffic noises, lawn mowers, voices or TV's. . . They always sound so cheerful about the new day -- like they're saying chirp chirp wake up I see a worm, I'm up I'm up hear me hear me hooray. . .
The smell of baking bread.

Freshly popped pop corn.

Smells so good. Ummmm
Also freshly baked bread.
Just off the line sheets.
The ocean.
The scent of flowers.
The air after it rains.
Awwwww
" May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."
