daily meditation
can anyone recommened a good simple book of daily mediation or prayer for women?
I've been reading my Al-Anon books alot latey but I'm beginning to feel that I need something "else".
What I'm looking for is a simple book of simple daily prayer or mediation. Doesn't necessarily need to be "for women".
thanks!Judy

Let me check around......love the idea of daily meditation and have gotten away from it.
Before I get out of bed, I stop and say to myself ...'This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." This really helps start my day on a peaceful mode!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

thank you!
I've been doing my reading at night, right before bed and I just recently discovered that I have a beautiful view out my bedroom window.
I've been living in this house less than a year and I always had the blinds down at night. With the weather getting nicer I had the window open and the blind open. Well, what do you know I have the most amazing view right out my bedroom window that I had no idea was there! My house is on a sloped lot so when in the yard, you basically see houses. But my window is high enough that it looks over my neighbors tree and the sun rises right in front of me.
At night time the sky is just beautiful. So anyway, I've been reading at night then turning out the light and then just looking out the window and I feel like I've found my own little special place that no one else knows about.
I would like to have either a prayer or meditation while I'm looking out the window before I close my eyes for the night.
I've been on such an emotional personal journey over the past two years where I am finally finding peace and I finally feel like I'm me again.Judy

i like the book simple abundance by sarah breathnach
it's good you are sick of your meditation books. it means you have grown and are ready for something new.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.
"i create prosperity, abundance, and savings for me and my household"

Isn't it wonderful that what we really need just pops up when we need it wether or not we are of aware of the need?!!
