I could live like that if it was just me! Nicely done!

This is his website. I'd love to build a house, not on wheels, but a tiny home.

What a cute little place! I would love it!
But...my DH would get sooooooo claustrophobic in that house.

That is one of the coolest things I have seen! Talk about a place for everything and everything in it's place. We live in a small place for our size of family and have to live by that rule of thumb. But his place is the size of my playhouse growing up. Wow!
I have five beautiful children and my wonderful best friend as my husband.

Wow! And I thought we were really pushing the limits on space management when we managed to pack two adults and two teenagers into our 600 sq ft apartment in Hawaii!

This was in one of my magazines about a year back. I found these homes so fascinating that I kept the magazine. There's a webpage you can go to to purchase the blueprints for all the different tiny houses. I'll see if I can find it.
This would be extremely hard for me to live in. Anything this small I'd need the whole side of the house to lift up so I could see out. I think I'd feel like I was being suffocated and spend all my time on the porch. LOL! I'd need some major modifications to the design to live like this. Aside from that, I think it's a great idea. The magazine pointed out that the taxes on this type of dwelling are not like a home with a foundation since it is considered a travel trailer, even when hooked up to public water and sewer. It certainly has a lot of promise for those that choose to own rather then rent.
One could have a low wage job and feel confident in paying their bills. There are several areas out this way where land is DIRT cheap. If you build yourself one of these, and put it on a cheap piece of land you certainly feel far more secure then renting an apartment with the rents that are sky rocketing out here. When the article came out it was a topic of discussion because of DS1's low wage job, and the increasing concern that low wage jobs were the future for his generation.~~~
