Slow down and live in the moment.

Try walking barefoot in clover this time of year. The bees are really busy today.

I shut the computer off for hours if need be.

I been knitting a lot, machine and by hand.

I really like working in the garden.

And if I really want to kick back, I sit on the deck in the glider and read a magazine or the newspaper.

Garden and pull weeds. This is a more of.."need to accomplish something" while I'm relaxing activity.

    or

Go fishing. I could care less if I catch anything, as long as I'm doing it.

I get something to drink, sit out in the fresh air, shut off the brain and just watch what is going on, sometimes its furbabies playing, birds singing, butterflies, dragonflies, clouds.. I can just get lost in it, it sure is refreshing.

Or just go fishing, it doesnt even matter if there are fish in the water!

I actually sit down twice a day and meditate for 30 minutes each time. I do mantra meditation and man do I feel relaxed afterwards. My whole body relaxes and I just feel refreshed afterwards. That meditation class sure paid off for me.

Before I do anything, I make sure to budget extra time in the morning to sit on the couch, drink coffee, and watch it get light outside. It calms me before getting ready for the day.

I sit outside when I can on my lunch break. I can't face the window-less staff break room. I look at the blue sky and try not to fall asleep in the sun.

I also burn candles, write in a journal, knead bread, breathe deep, and take walks.

We just got back from the State park. We go to the end where few others are. We watched a row of geese in the water, read books, ate Subway subs and drank water. We watched a couple of guy fishing and talked about what to do when the kids are gone. We usually stay a couple hours. We don't hike or swim just sit.
