What do you long for?
Doesn't have to be big or even cost a thing, just something you have a yearning for.
I'm longing for reading outside after dinner with this view to make me feel all is right with the world & I haven't a care. This pic was taken last summer doing just that.
You?~*Darlene*~

~A private backyard when we move with a firepit for sitting around on cool evenings.

Smelling the dirt in the Spring and feeling the warmth of it from the sun when I start the garden.
Hearing the breeze through the leaves again.
The songbirds in the morning.
The smell of BBQ!~~Constance

I long to see my mom, sisters, and my aunt. I only get home about twice a year. My aunt is my mom's only sister and only living sibling. She's 14 years older than my mom and had a massive stroke 2 years ago and found out she has throat cancer, never smoked a day in her life I might add. She's a fighter and then some. She should have died from her stroke and you can't even tell she had one. She's 84 years young and still kicking deaths butt. Can you tell I'm getting homesick? My mom won't be back from Florida for at least a month so I'm thinking of making a trip home in April or May.

I long for a country where the huge banks and corporations aren't in control, where the middle class isn't disappearing, where public education isn't being attacked. I'll probably survive while this country continues its slide into a third world country, but I'm really concerned about how my grand kids will survive. I'm trying to think what skills I should be providing them to prepare for the future. Teaching them to be good citizens, work and study hard, in exchange for a good future doesn't seem to cut it. Sorry to be so pessimistic... I guess I'm living up to my name.

A really nice bathroom. I mean a really nice one, with a sunken whirlpool tub and a walk up shower big enough not to need a shower curtain. LOL It's my dream.

For my coworker to complete her recovery and return to work so I can go back to my evening shifts and get my normal life and sleep and routines back. Three more weeks...three more weeks....
Short of that, an M&M McFlurry would be nice

Mmmm, McFlurries...
Ahem. I am longing for salad weather. I just never feel like eating green salad when it's cold out, but I am starting to wish I felt like eating salad. Fresh greens make such a lovely light summer meal.
That said, I am not really in any rush for winter and spring to be over. We need all the rain we can get, so the rainy season better not quit any time soon.

I am longing for a preschool teaching position at my children's Chrisitan school next year. I currently teach Music there part time because that is the subject my teaching degree is in. Next year I will have to go back to teaching public school if a preschool position doesn't open up for me. I REALLY want to be at the same school my kids attend. The pay is about a 1/3 of what I would get in public school but the trade off is worth it to be with them.
We are debt free besides our house payment!!!

I long for a really nice large kitchen and my own studio.
But for now I could go for a nice 75 degree day with the sun shinning.
