Finding the Good

I can pretty much find fault with anyone and anything at any given moment (PMS days are of course extra special).

My prayer here lately has been that I am able to see the good in others, especially in Mel. Our relationship is unique (aren't they all) and at times very trying. I'm the warm cuddly type - he's the opposite, serious and unaffectionate. I'm really trying to look for the little things that he does that shows he cares, not only for me and Ryan, but for others as well. If you're in a situation where the other person is not very vocal in their feelings it can be frustrating at time. Since I've started praying this way, I've stopped worry about what he says, or doesn't say and started noticing how he buys me blueberries, even though he hates them. How he stops what he's doing to help me move a rock, just cause I want to move it. He never complains when I take a day to be lazy and the house is a wreck, though I'm sure he's glad that doesn't happen often.

Do you make it a habit to look for the quiet good in others?

The power of prayer is an awesome thing isn't it?

I try to find the good in the people that I interact with on a daily basis. I also try to find the good in myself. I try to say a prayer each and every night asking God to make me a better person and to help me to be a better Christian each day.

Great insights and thoughts ladies!

I will admit to struggling in this area as well at times. The only thing that helps me is taking it to prayer!!!

I think it's the trait that makes us human. I understand completely what you're saying Pat. I should spend more time in prayer on that subject myself. (it really helps when I do.....)
