Default why did you choose your name?

I've been wondering lately about the names we call ourselves on this site. Now I know where certain names come from, Darlene, for instance, is Darlene because that's her name (duh) and I suppose slowtypingwoman is trying to improve her keyboard skills, but what about the others - Mrs Cornbread, Voodidit, Captain Clearance, duckduckgoose, Amyboz, MMP etc? Is it a reflection of how we see ourselves or is it how we want others to see us? Is it just a spur of the moment thing that you need to choose a name and something pops into your head and there it is - a name you have to live with for yonks. I guess I know why Dee calls herself SewCrafty but why that name and not a million others?

My name - forestdale is actually the name of the street I live in and my home is surrounded by forest so I see myself as a foresty person. It also gives a feeling of calmness that I like.

Where did your name come from? Was it a spur of the moment thing or did you think about choosing a name that really said something about you?

Also, if you could change your name now, what would you choose?

Mine is my name.....now......my old user (BushBrigade) was what we referred to our family as - "Bush" for our last name, "Brigade" because we are military......

what I lack in originality, I make up for in cleverness! (I hope)

I know some of the others that you mentioned ^up there^ ... I love hearing their stories!! Come on ladies - let's hear those stories!!

sunshine is the English translation (at least one of them) of my first name. My first name is Neoma- which is Native American. I don't use it, but rather my middle name of Denise- only because my mom's name is also Neoma and it would have been too confusing as a child.

I love my first name though-- and so. . . . I use it's version online.

Well mine is a name that I use all the time...same as my email address...
Our last name is Frederickson and we have 4 kids so in total there is 6 of us so we are SIXFREDS
I use that user name or SIXFREDS98 (same reason as above but that is the year we had the triplets so that is the year we became sixfreds) for most of my user names at any site...
Not too original BUT I like it and it stuck..
I would keep it not change it...

I probably should've added to mine, somewhere in there, that I changed my user because our family is not the collective unit that it once was & the user ID I had previously was kind of a cruel reminder of a very, very bad situation......

    TRIPLETS?!?!

I am Mrs Engeseth...so i am mrsengeseth, lol. not too origional am I? If I would change it, I'd go to Missy, since that's what all my friends call me. Is my name a reflection of who I am inside? Nope, if i were to do that I would probably have a cranky name that referred to me being cranky at my dh, lol.
