Smile This made me think of CJ.......

Allow me to preface this by stating on the record that CJ is my inspiration for simplified living....
(simplified as in - seeing those things that truly matter most in the overall scheme of things)
I tend to get so stressed out over the most miniscule things (hmm - imagine that!)....
More than once, I've stopped myself & thought, "what would CJ do in this situation?"
So when I received this quote in my inbox, it reminded me of CJ & enjoying those things that matter & dispensing with those frivolous time & energy wasters....

So without further adieu ~ the quote....

One can get just as much exultation in losing oneself in a little thing as a in a big thing.
It is nice to think how one can be recklessly lost in a daisy!
    ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Wonderful quote....it's amazing how such simple, beautiful sights are right in front of us and we tend to overlook them. Like "take time to smell the roses", lovely quote but who really does? And when we do the scent is so beautiful and real that we wonder why we haven't done it sooner.

    Thanks Debbie!

Awe Debbie, your sweet. Thank you.

Its interesting what you said Heather. Taking time to smell the roses is one of my favorite statements and one I truly believe in and do. I remember the first time I did this, it was awesome. The neat thing is it doesn't just pertain to roses.

Let me share a little something that happened about 8 years ago, when I was on the road to recovery (albeit slowly) from a major burn-out.

Dh, the kids and me were all at a park and I heard this sound that sounded like a frog. It just was a bit different and so I stopped. Dh and the kids kept going and soon realized that I wasn't with them. I put my fingers to my lips and motioned for them to return. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes (hard to do when there are kids around), but I was rewarded with seeing a tree toad. I had never seen one before and it was such an incredible feeling to have waited and watched and to have been rewarded. It was a well learnt lesson for me in that if you wait and be still, you will see the world with different eyes.

We miss so much because we are always in a hurry to go here, there and everywhere. Taking time to smell the roses really is the only way to live.

    That is a wonderful quote.
