Just for today- Thursday

I will pray- not only before I go to sleep, but whenever the Spirit impresses me, I will begin talking directly to God. Prayer is the longing of my heart, spoken to God in the same way I would speak to my best friend. I will remember that the perfect prayer expresses gratitude, so I will thank God first of all for listening to me.

God's Word says:

Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalms 61:1-2

Thanks for the reminder Denise and Carolyn. Sometimes I need a little thump on the head to remember that prayer is not just a bedtime or mealtime activity.
