Exclamation Simple Living contest - Day#5

    Here is today's challenge:

~most of us have flower gardens of some sort and most everyone has flowers that are blooming right now. I want you to pick one of those flower blooms and bring it inside, placing it in a prominent place in your home. Then I want you to look at that flower and see its beauty. Taking only one flower helps one to really look deep at one thing, rather than a ton of things. If you don't have a flower vase, you can use a cup, glass or even a cereal bowl.

Don't forget to come back and tell us the flower you picked, what color it was and what come to mind as you looked at the beauty of that one flower.

    Good luck.

LOL, good thing I am not trying to follow along with you, CJ, because I can almost guarentee that the only flowers blooming in my yard are dandelions. Unless the girls picked them all.

I just clipped a rose, it's red and it looks beautiful in the crystal vase I put it in, I love the smell of roses and this one rose is very fragrant. It had a little dew on it and the dew looked amazing as it glittered on that rose.

I just recently bought 3 beautiful delphinium plants that are in full bloom. The flower that I picked is a deep blueish-purple with a delicate lacy white center. It's simply breathtaking!

I've got to find the name of my flowers...they are tall and orange...I'll be back to tell you. I cut one only, because they are the only flowers blooming this year around my home and I still want to have some in my yard...

MMP - beauty if in the eye of the beholder and when a little child brings a bouquet of dandelions to his/her mommy, they are absolutely beautiful. I think thats why God made dandelions, just for little kids.

I too picked one single beautiful rose! It smells so sweet! It is a beautiful pale pink."Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses." It's all about perspective folks!

I picked a beautiful petunia. It was hard to find a large one to pick because it's been raining so much that most flowers are closed or pretty sickly looking. I did finally find one of a ultramarine violet. I love the contrasting dark purple veins and the lighter violet ruffled edges. My flower had lots of tiny raindrop bubbles all over but I could still smell the light sweet fragrance.

I picked an orange Gladiolus! I planted a bunch of these bulbs last year and they bloomed again this year.

I picked a daisy, I love their simplicity. Beautiful white leaves with a sunny yellow center just makes me smile.

A hibiscus flower (Hula Girl variety). Hibiscus always make me think of Hawaii and the time we spent living on Maui. The color yellow always makes me think of my mom (yellow roses were her fave).
