Thread: I've chosen a change of path....

I've chosen a change of path....
Remember a few days ago, I was overwhelmed....tired....
Well, I'm still very tired...so tired I feel nauseaus....and I've decided to ask to have my paper route decreased to 40 a day instead of 100 a day....I will gain some sleep. If I see that it's still too much for me...then I will stop my paper route.
Pierre and I have talked it over a quiet supper together and it became all clear to me that I can't continue like this...I'm having a rough time keeping the home in order, we rarely have good meals anymore---I'm too tired to cook---the boys have been so patient and eaten so much grilled cheese or anthing left in the fridge, the past few weeks for their lunches ....suppers have been often pizza from take out, hamburgers, hotdogs and sandwiches and pizza again....etc...the boys are sick of pizza! lol Pierre and I too....
I feel liberated knowing soon I will get more sleep and will be more rested and energetic....I've been just surviving doing this. Plus I tripped twice this past week and you should my knee! It's ugly!....and it hurts.
I've chosen to post here in the chosen path, because it was a difficult *choice* to make for me. Even if I didn't make tons of money, I kept on it doing for the money...but now I'd rather have less money and enjoy my life with my family...and my boys and Pierre will certainly apreciate a more happy and rested mom.
Well, I just wanted to share this you.
Thanks for listening.

Lucie, I think you've made the right decision and please sweetie, if your still tired, drop it all together. Your going to be so much more relaxed and not near as tired, not having to get up so early in the morning.
Your family is definitely going to benefit from this, but more so are you.

Lucie, you, your health and your family are more important than your paper route. I admire the decision you've made. I send you warm thoughts and a hug.

Lucie, sending you lots of hugs!
I think you have made the right decision and I must say too, that if you still feel it's too much, then quit.....your health is so much more important. Plus, you will have more time at home doing the things you really want to do and hey.....maybe in a couple months you might like pizza again!
You are in my thoughts.

Lucie, you made a very wise decision. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of your family. I know some choices are hard when you need the money but your health and peace of mind are way more important.

That's so sweet of you CJ to think of me.
Actually, I still didn't tell the newspaper lady yet...I wanted to wait until the end of this week, since I was also replacing a young boy with his route (which is 23 more to my 90...)...and I also will give her a week to find someone else...I don't like putting her on the spot with no one for next monday morning.
This morning was better. Last evening I went to bed at 6h00 pm. I was so exhausted I didn't have supper. I told Pierre I would nap one hour and get up to help him in the house, but I slept throug the whole night!
This morning, Mathieu helped me. He's quite faster than I. And I went back to bed at 7h30 am for another 2 hours. Imagine the sleep I'm needing!
Tomorrow I'm thinking of getting up at 5h00 am since Daniel and Mathieu and their friend, who is sleeping over are all coming with me to help. So that's encouraging for me...I'll only be driving and attaching the newspaper in the car.
And how is your paper route going CJ? What time do you get up? Do you get to walk alot in and out of the car or you can slip the newspaper in the people's mailbox form your car? I know lots of people in the country have their mailboxes on the side of the roads....
All I can say, I'm happy to think I'm going to have much less newspaper in a week....and I'm even thinking that maybe I'll really just quit...With the older boys going to bed later now, I have to stay late and Pierre also gets up early (5hoo am) for his job, so someone has to go to bed a later...I can't just let them alone or else they never go to bed...
Well...as soon as there is changes I'll let you know.
