Default Quote from my French book

"A big part of comprehending joie de vivre (the joy of living) is understanding that enjoyment in day-to-day things is the true key to happiness. Finding happiness in small things means that ordinary days are filled with pleasures rather than obligations. Joyful anticipation in life's everyday events is part of bringing joie de vivre into your home in a lasting way."

Yup I agree, its the little things that bring happiness.

As an example, thats why one can find pleasure in doing dishes. If you allow the water to flow over your hands and while doing that be thankful you have dishes to eat from, food to put on those dishes and $$ to purchase that food, it can become an enjoyable task. Its even more enjoyable if you have someone helping you with the dishes.

We so often take for granted the little things in our lives, we forget to enjoy them.

    Awe but life is good!!

I take great joy in watering our hanging baskets outside and our indoor plants. The the act of taking care of them is so nurturing to me.

What a beautiful quote. It sure is the little things in life that matter.

I've even found enjoyment in pulling weeds!
