Thumbs up Awe, but this is what simple living is about

Dd and I went to the International Peace gardens today and had a wonderful but very emotional time. (I'll explain in my next pictures).

Through it all, we were able to quiet down and just stand still. Three of us (another lady did the exact same thing) didn't move for about 10 minutes, as frogs jumped into the water all around us. But this wonderful guy stayed absolutely still. We were able to get about 3 inches away from him.

As I took the picture, it reminded me of simple times - times when children use to play outside, use to bring surprises in their pockets or little fists, times before there were computers or Nintendo to occupy their time. It reminded me of looking for tadpoles and watching them grow after you caught umpteen of them.

It was simple living at its best!!!

what a wonderful frog, CJ. I've never seen a frog like this before. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your outing to the peace gardens.

To stop & breathe in the goodness really does soothe the soul. You can do that with your eyes, ears, nose, mouth and body. It fills you up and feels awesome!

Your day was just wonderful. Don't you feel great?

I love that chubby frog. We used to go frog catching when I was younger. We would line all the tadpoles/frogs up according to their development. Was very funny. We used to stomp on the edge of the creek to get them hopping and swimming. Fell into the muck a few times. lol

CJ, thanks for sharing your picture and your thoughts. I miss those simple days too. Hoping to recapture some this coming week over at the lake in Montana with my family and some good friends.
