my daily pix #8
I stayed at my homestead today and reaped the benefits of simple living. Bread was baked, cakes made and iced and a walk in the garden after a night of much needed rain showed me my first sweet peas flowering on a trellis. Spring is here.
It's September 1 and today is Wattle Day in Australia.

Chriss, the wattle flower is Australia's national floral emblem. Wattle Day is a day when some Australians wear a sprig of wattle or buy wattle badges to show their pride in being Australian.

Mmm homemade bread and are those tomatoes from your garden?
Love your pretty garden flowers and those sweet peas getting ready to fill the trellis.
