Simple living has flown out the door - getting back on track
For the past 4 months or so, my life has been spiralling out of control. With 3 part time jobs, I was finding it more and more difficult to keep my life simple. With dh working 2 part time jobs, I never know when he is going to be home or what hours he will be working and I especially like being home when he is.
Most of my morning was taken up with delivering papers and I was putting in close to 10 hrs. per week weeding gardens at the lodge. Along with that I was also cleaning the post office and then trying to get my own gardening done, my housework done and trying to enjoy life has I believe it is suppose to be.
After going to the Peace Gardens last weekend, it really hit me how incredibly fast my life was passing me by and I wasn't doing some of the things I really want to do - stretch myself in my quilting, make more quilts for charity and try designing a few of my own quilts. I also wanted to spend more time with my grandchildren.
So effective today, I resigned from the gardening job at the lodge and my paper route is finished Sept. 11th. I'm keeping the post office job as that is the larger of the 3 incomes and will definitely help in our finances. I'm feeling like my life will finally get back to where I want it to be when it comes to living simply. It feels good.

Good for you, CJ. Sometimes we have to do what's best for us. We forget about ourselves while trying to do for our familes.
Good luck!
