    Default my daily pix #16

I really love small things. Small flowers, small toys, small patterns on fabric, if it's small, I usually like it.  Here are two of my small treasures.  On the left is my first "Airedale Terrier" that DH bought for me when we lived in Germany - he's a Steiff toy.  He was the dog we had when I dearly wanted one but we couldn't get one.  Next to him is a small handmade teddy bear that was given to me by my good friend Kathleen.  He's the only teddy bear I've ever had.  They are both sitting on top of the unit where our TV/DVD/video are.

Beautiful picture! When and where did you live in Germany?

My Dad was in the Canadian Armed Forces and we lived in Lahr from 1972 to 1974. I loved Germany, we couldn't have a dog so my Dad bought me a tankful of tropical fish and a beautiful doll named Suzie, (I still have the doll and a love for fishies).

Chriss, we lived in Germany for two years, 1979-1980. I met DH here and two years later he wanted me to meet his family. We intended staying a couple of months but ended up getting married there in September 1979 and had our first son there in July 1980. We came home just before Christmas of that year because I was terribly homesick. I loved Germany too, we lived in Hamburg but travelled around Europe quite a bit.

When I was a little girl I had a doll called Suzie too!

Julia, I love that you're always the first person who comments on my pix. Thank you. It's lovely to have your comments everyday.

Things don't have to be big or flashy to touch your heart. Thanks for sharing things close to yours.
