How do you get your grinder really clean after running meat through it? Just curious because I have hesitated to use my hand grinder and always use my food processor for chores like this.

Mine comes apart into 4 pieces-- the hopper, the grinder with the handle, the plate and the screw. It cleans easily in soap and water.
I've never had a problem with it. I don't care for the texture of the meat in my food processor.

We always clean our grinder with a bleach water solution. The texture is alot better with the grinder than with the food processor.

Here's my hand grinder after we cleaned it this morning. This is all the pieces-- that's all there is to it. Nice and simple, yet does the job well.

I have one of those but never use it because my counters are too fat. I never thought of using a stool, cool beans!

Wow Denise, did this photo take me back. My grandma had one of these grinders and I've never seen one in use except at her home. She told me once when I was naughty (who me!) that she'd grind up my ears in her grinder if I didn't behave myself.
She used to make shepherds pie every Monday using the leftover lamb roast from Sunday.

Oh Denise, I told my mom to throw away a grinder just like that and now I am kicking myself! Bethany, my grandad used to make Shepherd's Pie with left over lamb too. Yuummmmiiee
