Default Choose your style of simplicity and make a plan to obtain it...

This is fromTracey McBride's frugal Luxuries and I feel it is very thought provoking:

The Simplifying process materializes when you plan your finances and activities to harmonize and deliver you to your goals. Begin by mapping your life's path instead of leaving it to chance. Happy lives don't just happen - they have been thought out and planned for, and acted upon. Take control of your actions by taking control of your thoughts - to start ask yourself these searching questions...

What kind of person are you??

    • Are you constantly bitter and unhappy about the people and circumstances in your life? Or do you take responsibility for these things, happily using your resources, thoughts, and energieso go forward on your life's path?
    • Do you strive for excellence, or do you settle because of lack of passion in your life?
    • Are your thoughts and opinions formed for you by others, or do you take the time to clearly think out opinions, ideas, problems and solutions??
    • do you dwell on past misfortunes and mistakes, or do you understand that your past does not equal your future?
    • Do you hold a grudge? or do you release negative attitudesand keep your thoughts focused towards what is very positive?
    • Are you consciously guiding your life??
    • Do you blame others for your unhappiness, or do you take responsibility for your actions and choices/thoughts?
    • Do you understand that you have free will  to forge your own thoughts and Ideas - regardless of the circumstances??
    • Can you decide to look deep inside and master your own happiness?

I am the type who believes that it is not a constructive thing to dwell on past mistakes, but to only look at them as learning experiences and move forward. I also believe that we are all responsible for our own happiness. And I never, ever hold a grudge on anyone because it is a form of self destruction and can make you sick I do not strive for excellence either, because I believe that if I just do my personal best everyday, that is good enough.

I ordered Tracy's book two days ago from Amazon, and I am really looking forward to absorbing myself into it
