Default What did you do to simplify your life today??

I was wondering if anyof you might find some encouragement or inspiration if we challenged ourselves to do one thing each day to simplify our lives.

Today I will simplify my life by not becoming emotionally charged by the ridiculous negative things my mom says about the way I run my house. Wish me luck in conquering this feat in order to live more simply in my heart and soul...

How can we support you in your quest to simplify?

    Cheering you on Kimmee!
This morning I've been going through my desk & getting rid of the paper tiger. With Mark checking out different colleges I have brochures & papers everywhere. I hate all the shuffling through stuff to get to other stuff, kwim?
I'm getting the itch to organize & downsize...

I'm not being a taxi for my children. Jaysn has his driver's liscence now and he enjoys being able to run himself and his brothers all over the place. I am thinking God for this new found freedom for myself and for my kids!

    Sure does CJ! Nap on.....!!!

    Great question Kimme!

What a wonderful freedom Debbie...Kody is 16 next month and although I'm nervous I know it'll free up time from my schedule that he is able to drive places.

Darlene, I went through my files before Christmas and I can't believe how many times I open the file cabinet just to look!!

    Today I will:

~get rid of all paper and boxes from Christmas which will free space and unsightly messes
~having supper from freezer (made lasagna before Christmas) so no fussing in kitchen
~listen to Christmas cd's while tidying..it calms me!
~taking time for me to sit and read

I have been expecting more of my girls - asking Katie to help her younger sister get her shoes and socks on, taking her to the bathroom etc. Also, a friend called and needed to talk. I had a day of cleaning and purging planned, but knew this was more important. So, that went on the back burner, while we met and she got to vent. It was worth a days delay in getting rid of some stuff to know she can count on me!

Today I stood over the boys and gave them directions on HOW to clean their rooms and they got it done - they know what I mean by clean and how to sort their clean laundry between drawers and hangers - yes they are a little older and should have already been doing this but I used to think it was easier to just do it myself. Today I helped to Simplify MY life.
