    Default Daily appreciations January 13th

You know, sometimes it's hard to find something to be thankful for or grateful for due to a bad mood, circumstances but I find that if I really sit and think there is ALWAYS something. It puts life into perspective. Somedays what I'm thankful for are the little things in life, other days it's the biggies but I'm finding as of late that it's the little things in life that are the most important and the ones that often get overlooked and forgotten about.

    Today I am thankful for:

    ~DH coming home tomorrow, I can't wait
~my home and how it is such a haven for me
~enjoying the freedom to read my Bible and pray
~broken roads in life....yup, they teach us so much
    ~prayer for wisdom
~the support of my friends and family

My senses.....I can see, taste, hear, smell and feel. I can absorb through my senses all that God has put before me on this beautiful planet. I can smell the roses, taste a delicous meal, hear my children laugh, see the sunset at night and feel the warmth and softness of my warm flannel sheets on a cold winters night.

safe travels once again-- today on ice

free food for dinner tonight- compliments of a survey (trying out a convience dinner)

deicer in my trunk (only way I could get into my car- and I used it to get several other coworkers into their cars tonight. Some of the coworkers I knew, some I didn't-- but they all appreciated getting into their cars through the ice)

    a warm house

extra hats, mittens in the car- after mine got wet and frozen

I am also one who has had so much going on and faced so much frustration with a sick child for the last 3 weeks but I am so very thankful for so much!!

~ds staying in school for the 2nd day in a row......all day......no phone calls from the school nurse!

~that the bomb threat at dd's school today turned out to be nothing........I am so very thankful for this and thankful that the school takes these threats so serious and that my dd was safely locked down in a classroom and out of harms way!!! Not happy about the threat but happy that everyone is safe!!

    ~sunshine......2 days in a row!!
