    Thumbs up ATTITUDE

    I found this just now in an obiturary and thought of how appropriate it would be for this forum because of how important it is for inner simplicity.

    ATTITUDE

    The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

    Attitude to me is more important than fears.

    It is more important than facts.

    It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do.

    It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a business or home.

    The remarkable thing is that we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude that we will embrace for that day.

    We cannot change the past. . . .

    We cannot change the fact that people will act a certain way.

    We cannot change the inevitable.

    The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. . . .

    I am convinced that life is 10 percent of what happens to me, and 90 percent of how I choose to react to it.

    That is a wonderful prose. I have printed that out and am putting it on my refrigerator. I sometimes need to be reminded that all I can do is play on my one string and not change the world or those around me (especially at work).
