Today I am thankful for:

~44 years of life

~my parents who raised me in a loving, caring, Christian home

~email and snail mail birthday wishes

~sleeping late

~a day off work

~dinner out with my best friend

Happy Birthday Denise!!!!

Today I am thankful for:
~Chris's orthopedic surgeon who will be operating on Chris' foot sometime today who knows and cares about Chris and has a history of working with our family (Chris is the 4th family member who has needed his services).
~God's hand in this whole broken foot situation and putting our regular doctor and our orthopedic surgeon on duty at the hospital last night
~Good friends!
~Prayers that are answered
~the new bed hubby bought us yesterday (it's so comfy)
~A positive outlook on life even when things seem to be falling apart all around me. I know that God is in control and HE will and does take care of His children.

- finding a new spot to leave food for the wild birds (Vinny the cat has scared the birds away from their normal feeding area) this spot actually has a better view to watch them

- the happiness I anticipate from ds when he gets home from school and finds out we're having tacos for dinner

- reconnecting with a co-worker who I work very closely with and have been having major communication issues with

(we're two totally different people with different personalities and values)
- someone helping me to find a good home for the items I am decluttering from ds's room (above co-worker)

- the way my kitten loves to cuddle up with my old dog, and the fact that he puts up with it

*stuffed animal puppies that are a child's fave toy to sleep with because "it'll make me well"

*the support of those on FV - no matter my dumb comments, attitude or temporary self-pity

*migraine meds... mmm

*reese's cups

*snowflakes (yep, it's snowing pretty & big, juicy flakes (not sticking tho - yay!))

I really need to be posting here again. When things are the most difficult I fine it helps me cope when I remember to be thankful.

Today I'm thankful for:

~ my dh who is still making sure I take some rest time

~ my dkids who are a wonderful help

~ that our friend who had surgery is doing much better today

~ for a full pantry

~ for support from friends

~ knowing that even if dh loses his job, everything will be okay

~ a warm meal in my belly
~ my pretty and clean home -- I'm finally starting to love it!
~ my darling best friend, who is having a rough evening.
~ the ability to be there and comfort my friend, because he and I are so close.
~ my DH having been properly diagnosed and enabling us to move on with our lives.
~ comfy shoes
~ homemade bread and the ability to bake it from scratch myself!

~ the strength of my faith in the God and Goddess.
~ the internet, FlyLady and Frugal Village!
