I liked the first article very much. I was always one of those "Different" people. I spent many years, while my children were growing up, going to school. It often put me in the position of being left out of the "In Crowd", who questioned why I should go to school. They weren't going to school! Did I think I was better? It was tough and I lost a lot of friends. All was not lost though! I got my education and met many great people who shared my interest in getting a college degree. I've always found that there are groups you don't belong in and groups you are very comfortable with. The trick is to keep looking for that goodness of fit.

The first article is so "me". I feel I'm totally on a different wavelength when it comes to simplicity. I have a wonderful friend who is on the same wavelength as me, but when it comes to others or family members, they don't understand at all. Even when it comes to homesteading or homeschooling, people look at me like I'm out in left field.
Are you on different wavelengths than others when it comes to simple living either with family members or friends?
