We had the most wonderful afternoon
We had to drive into Souris this afternoon to pick up our farm fresh eggs. Our supplier wasn't there when we expected so the kids wanted to go on the swinging bridge (the largest swinging bridge in Canada). Dh took both dd and ds#1 and I met them on the other side.
The local musuem was opened so we decided to visit it. Its incredible. Its in an old Victorian home and each room is exactly as it would have been during that time period. Upstairs they also have a room that has a butterfly collection. There are over 8,000 butterflies in the collection. The butterflies are from all over the world. The collection was owned by a gentleman who lived in Souris but is now passed away. What a collection.
We then decided to hit an antique store that opened up last fall just outside Souris. Well, I found an antique quilt and fell in love with it. I'm picking it up on Wed. afternoon. When I mentioned it to my mom she said she'd buy it for me. She is so good that way, always doing little things like that for me. I so appreciate it.
Overall a wonderful day.

That sounds like a lovely day

You'll have to post pics of the quilt when you get it. What pattern is it?
What is a swinging bridge?

Michelle, if you scroll down in this link to Souris, you'll see a picture of it. It is man made by a guy back in 1904. It literally swings when you walk on it. Thats why I've never been on it.
The kids love it. The more it moves the better for them.

What a lovely day you had!
ahhhh suspension bridges .. I looked at the picture and it gave me the willies.
Reminds me of the Capilano suspension bridge in Vancouver...which isn't even as long. My kids loved it as well ... me, not so much.
