I stopped wearing a wristwatch
A year ago I stopped wearing a watch when I go out. I also dismantled all clocks in my home, except DH's old German clock that I'm not allowed to touch.
It was a deliberate decision to allow me to live the moment and not to be tied down by what time it was.
Now that a year has passed, I can report no occasion when I wished I had a timepiece. I have access to time when I want it by looking at DH's clock, but I rarely do. It's a kind of liberation to not know what time it is, and particularly liberating to not have a reminder of time strapped to your wrist. I doubt I'd be able to get away with this secret thrill earlier in my life when I was working, but now, it's sublime.

Rhonda, I stopped wearing a watch years ago when I first read The Simple Living Guide. I haven't missed it once and found it very freeing as well.
We do have a clock in our home, however I seldom look at it. I love to go by "my time" and enjoy each moment. I'm totally with you on this one.

I hate wearing a watch! But, I have to for work. I take it off as soon as the last patient leaves.

I very rarely wear a watch and have had many people ask how I can live like that. If I want to know, someone else has the time & I only need ask.
I am a stickler for promptness when agreeing to meet with someone and I will keep a close eye on time then, I hate when people are late, it's so rude. That's one of the only times I really am paying attention, another is when my fav shows are on, lol.~*Darlene*~

I stopped wearing a watch the day I stopped going to work. Now I'm at home all day I *know* what time it is due to the movements of everyone around me, when the children come home from school, when my neighbour goes out to work etc. and of course the best part of the day - when DH gets home!

I gave up my watch over ten years ago! I couldn't stop looking at it! It's it great?

britbunny, isn't it great how you pick up on the natural rhythms surrounding you? That's how I tell time too now.

I don't wear mine except on days when i have a full plate of appointments. I used to feel naked without it, but now it's in the way.
