Thumbs up Life is so good

I was thinking about this as dh walked in the door from one part time job. We are so blessed to have him in our home. He cherishs us and will do anything for his family.

I looked around - I have a beautiful home with all that I need. It's not finished in the decorating department, however I have warmth, the love of my family and contentment.

I look outside and I see beauty that surrounds me, even though it's only snow on the ground and barren trees. However, that snow glistens like diamonds - how can life not be good when I look at diamonds on a daily basis during the long winter months.

I look at my kids, so easy to please, content with what they have. They bring laughter to our home, creative gifts that only they have and a joy beyond measure. It does my heart good to see where they were as wee babes and where they are today.

I look at my friends, too many to count. Some acquaintances that have come and gone and others who are there on a regular basis. They have enriched my life in so many ways. I think of here at the village - how can I not be thankful for all that it means to each of us.

Yes life is for sure GOOD!!!

CJ, it's wonderful to see someone who has a good life and who appreciates it. I feel the same way and I am thankful everyday for what I am, that I have my DH whom I love dearly and that we live well in our little homestead.

Rhonda I think it's a part of growing older and realizing that life is what we make it. I'm realizing more and more that having a thankful heart makes life so much more enjoyable. There is just something about being appreciative of what we have and the beauty that surrounds us, that it's sometimes hard to explain, kwim.

Thanks for sharing that reminder. I think most of usl need to count our blessing more often. It is so easy to get caught up in what we dont have, that we dont see what we DO have! Thanks for the reminder. It came at a good time for me.

CJ...that was a beautiful post! I've been sitting around my house "complaining" about being sick and miserable for awhile now and I need to quit having my "pity" party. I have my (overall) health, a husband who spoils me and overall everything I need.

    Thanks

Yes, CJ, all the gifts we recieve in Life are so special........ and an attitude of gratitude enables us to see ALL our blessings nomatter how insignificant.

May all be blessed and fortunate enough to recognize their blessings......

I feel the same way. I am so blessed to have a wonderful life with a loving dh and friends who bring so much happiness to me. I look around and see all the blessings that the Lord has given to me and it warms my heart.

Thank you very much for pointing that out!

I do have to stop and realize that money isn't the only thing
    that I can think about.

My family, friends and you wonderful ladies make me smile
    and happy, that's what matters.
