Spending time with my mom and dad who even though they (we) have never had much money have made up feel like we were the richest people in the world.

Having my sweet little boy tell me "I love you Mommy".

The ability to make choices about my life (with my DH and son) and not have financial worries makes me feel rich.

What makes me feel rich? Taking my DS9 fishing and seeing him catch a big one! Watching DD14 pitch softball and knowing there's nothing in the world they'd rather be doing!!
    Wife to Kevin: 20 years

    Mother to DD18 & DS13.

There's more than I can shake a stick at. I'm incredibly blessed and rich (just not in money). One material thing that makes me feel rich is the gleam and smell of a freshly cleaned house.

But rich rich is being in contact with family.

And rich rich rich is remembering that I'm a child of the King!!
    Spiritual:

I will feel rich when I know that no matter what happens to me, ceashels will be provided for, and when I no longer have to work for someone else to make sure she is provided for.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Being able to do for those less fortunate makes me feel rich - frankly, acknowledging that there ARE those less fortunate makes me realize I have so much to be thankful for!
    Others -
    a warm, full belly.
    No creditor phone calls.
paying my bills on time each month, & dwindling down the number of those bills each month!
    My daughter's smile.
    DH's smile.

Reading threads like this - ones that remind me WHY I am frugal & that I'm not alone!

Being able to stay home with my kids vs. working a full time job.

when my house is clean and I look out at my beautiful yard
when I've got a bunch of fresh produce to cook or really, when I have an afternoon of cooking - it feels like abundance
all my bills paid on time

Laughter. It doesn't matter how bad things get, if I hear laughter I smile and know things aren't as bad as they seem. Laughter is a gift from God so how can I not feel blessed or rich when I hear it. A child's belly laugh is the ultimate sound to me.

Oh, you guys will laugh at this one!! I feel rich when my house is clean and the laundry is done lol!! Because I have friends and family that spend so much time out and about doing things to make others believe they have lots of money, they never get the basic stuff taken care of. I love curling up with a cup of coca, knowing everyone has clean clothes and will not trip over anything in the dark.
I also feel rich when my kids kiss me goodbye at school, then run back for another and yell, "I love you, Mom!" as they run into the building.
And I can't forget having a well-stocked pantry lol! After never having enough food as a child, my kids having lots to eat is important to me--I am very anal about it, too!! I feel rich as a queen when I can load their plates and still have leftovers!" (KC)

Exactly! I feel rich when no jobs (household or administrative) are waiting to be done, dd is tucked in her bed, dh is enjoying whatever he's doing (usually something IT-related), and I'm sitting on the sofa with a nice book, listening to some music.
