Our simple day in the country~
We drove half hour from home into the country today. It was just so relaxing. We often go for drives to look at homes and farms for sale in the area.
I'll add some pictures of some highlights of my day.

OMG Sara they are beautiful pictures. We did that for 5 years before we finally found our dream home. We'd take a picnic basket and drinks and drive for miles every weekend and any holidays.
Thank you for sharing such great pictures.

We saw an old cobblestone home for sale. It was beautiful. Came with 80 acres. I called on it. Oh my!!! $230K. The woman said 20 of the acres was creek and woods. Sorry, but $230K "ain't" gonna happen. LOL
I did do the sigh of disappointment, but geesh.
I gave her my phone number and said if they decided to break up the land into smaller acres to let us know. I liked the looks of the home, but that price was just nuts.
The drive was through an Amish community. It's neat to see the carriages on the busier streets. There are "carports" for the carriages to be parked in at the stores in the town.
The one picture shows a little Amish boy hiding. He was with four other brothers and they ran to the road and were watching us and giggling. It was just too precious.
I was amazed to see some pretty wealthy Amish farms with very modern homes. I missed the Amish quilt auction.
I am hoping to hit Septemberfest though.

Wow, beautiful pics, Sara.
I'm envious, though, because where I live, eighty acres alone would start at around $650,000!!
