What was the last simple pleasure you enjoyed

Mine has got to be watching my kids outside last night watching dh letting off firecrackers and them holding sparklers that a friend had brought for them. Watching their eyes light up what so sweet.

Yesterday, I mowed the lawn (good exercise too!), it was pretty long..and was lush green....it was a beautiful early fall late afternoon, the sun was out, just a hint of the leaves changing....I didn't bag the clippings so they were laying on the lawn in rows.

DH was washing the truck and hosing off the driveway.

Whe we were done we sat on the deck and enjoyed the time and the conversation and the smell of freshly mowed grass..

Last Sunday was my first day off-no work, no dss, no social obligations or major thing that had to be handled-probably in 8 weeks, we went to a wonderful little festival in a local waterfront park, me dh and my best friend. Our friend's band was playing, the salt air and a cool drink-I didn't want it to end!!!
