    Default Simple Sunday 6/14

What are your plans for today?

It's a beautiful sunny Sunday here, so I'm going to be doing some laundry. My dryer is broken & I'm in no rush to fix it with it being summer and all. This will take away the temptation to use it

I'm also cleaning up all the pots & pans & kitchen utensils I got at the auction yesterday. Trying to clean up the mess my boys have made downstairs. I swear they are little hurricanes!

Other than that, plan on watching the race & knitting

Started Sunday by finding my ear plugs at 2:30 AM, due to my neighbour's loud, outdoor drinking party. Why must people call out to one another at the top of their voices, instead of just speaking to one another? They could easily be heard 3 blocks away.

Was up and at it by 7 AM, with coffee on the patio. All is quiet, still and the air is beautifully fresh and sweet. Made a few plans about my next gardening chores. Will have to move some perennials around, and PLANT THOSE GREENHOUSE TOMATOES, PETUNIAS AND CUCS; but first have to wait for space by confirming those planters where the seeds died due to the cold. Well, they're still ok in their trays.

Puttered in kitchen, putting it to rights; finished folding yesterday's laundry; checked computer emails, prepared Household Contents Insurance bill to drop in the mail; checked accounts book, did tally.
Read my Bible, in the book of Proverbs. Was comforted by the promises of God.

Today is a NO SPEND DAY, of course. Checking my budget strengthens my resolve to get through this month with almost no spending.

    Plans for today:
    1. Chop up a 1/2 can of sliced peaches for peach mousse pudding.
    2. I cooked up a stockpot of potatoes this week, so still have some on hand for meals. Cooked a beef roast too, and sliced it, diced it, and still have a large plastic tub of sliced beef. Have gravy. Will peel off the outer leaves of my head of lettuce for a salad. Cooked peas and corn this week; saving some corn to make corn fritters (like pancakes, but with corn, bacon bits, and chives). Want to make another dessert: maybe cake.
    3. Still have to arrange for transportation for medical tests
    4. Hope to work on the grandkids birthday presents
    5. Housework & chores

My windfall lettuce is growing nicely in my tiny backyard garden. Might have a few leaves ready in a couple of weeks. My chives are ready to blossom, so should be harvested. The rhubarb is ready to harvest...hey...there's my dessert...Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake!

Don't want to do too much today; still aching and headachy from yesterday's garden-work. Might do a couple loads of laundry though, so I can start Monday's work fresh.

We dropped DD off at work then stopped by Publix to get our newspapers.

DS and DH have gone to the Y to play basketball.

I'm watching the race while clipping my coupons and putting them in the binder.

Later have to make a Wally World run then TV and bed.

Got up and directed the girls in their chores.
Started baking for the week, brownies and muffins done so far.
Had lunch with the family and promised dd to do her nails, so that is next on the list.
I'm doing some OAMC, but on a smaller scale just for the week ahead, so my oven will be working all day.
I have some jewelry orders to get done, get FD cards signed, and finish up lunch for hubby for tomorrow.

Today has been warm and sunny. We went to early Mass, came home and made a run to buy a new shop vac. We grilled out for lunch. I have been swimming while DH is out with the guys playing golf. Sandwiches and fruit for supper, may bike a bit, then a movie and bed. Getting ready for a fresh new week ahead!

Church- really good message from Preacher Lee and the singing was great, some old hymns, ably sung
Went to the dedication of some new fitness equipment at our little town's beautiful new park - the volunteer fire department had a cook out, ran into some old friends and the community band played a lovely concert. I LOVE small town living.
Drove over to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital to visit a little girl I take care of in home care- didn't get to see her though, but found out she's recovering, so I'm thankful for that!
Came home and watched some baseball with my son, emailed some, fooled around on Facebook some.
And now I find FV back on the air, so it's a great end to the day!
