Good morning everyone. I'm getting ready for another 12 hour work day, sigh. It's going to be a rainy day here today so I may as well be making some money, right?. My DH wants me to take our truck, he has to check the brakes on my car. I need to stop and buy newspapers on the way in, there is supposed to be lots of coupons this week and I don't want to miss out. Well I hope all of you enjoy your day.
~Today dh went with some of his friends to a baseball game in Baltimore. I think they're going to get rained out.
I plan to sew and work on homeschool plans. Just a nice lazy day!~
Slept late and am lingering over my second cup of magical zombie elixir of life (black, two splendas)
DD (youngest) is being baptized this morning!!
Church picnic and Ministry Fair
After all that, take a long nap as I am working 10p-6a tonight
While I'm at work and my patient is sleeping (she's a cute little 14 month old who is on a ventilator at home) I am planning to work on writing out August's budget in legible form and doing some more homeschool planning (our 24th year is coming up, ready or not!!)
Enjoying the beautiful morning.
Laundry is going.
Grocery list is made, will be heading there shortly.
Will list stuff on E-Bay tonight.
Might try a couple of things on Craigs List.
Will bake cookies for the week.
HAVE to put binding on a wall hanging.
I'm spending the day working at home completing an online program for work. I am also working on the laundry which will be an all day job in between. I have set aside an hour today to work on getting things packed to take to the Goodwill.
It's cloudy here and we are expecting rain. Hope everyone has a great day!
Not sure what is on the agenda for today. DH has to work in the shop and it is raining out again. Really want to hit Walmart for fabric since madhen has been talking about all the great fabric she has been picking up....but I don't want to run out for just that.
Otherwise planning on knitting, doing some laundry, catch up on dishes from last evening (the men eat constantly after dinner until bedtime!), tidy bedroom and go through my yarn stash to try a few felted projects.
Quiet and beautiful day here. Sunny, but only about 80F. I'll be using the day to catch up on projects that are threatening to get away with me. Sometimes, it takes a chair and a whip to keep them in line.
Slept in a bit today then fixed a ham and cheese ziploc omelet (was really, really good). Aterwards, I went over to friends and picked a huge bag of figs. I love figs but not sure what I'm going to do with all of these. I can only eat so many. lol
You guys still have Walmarts with fabric? I'm so jealous. Ours stopped carrying it. At home AND here at the cabin.
I am cooking, knitting, and trying to not get my nose into a book again (I just finished 'Tis' by Frank McCourt), so I can actually get something done this week. :read:
Got the laundry done yesterday, so I am planning a walk through the woods today (with my bear spray), and looking at nature, seeing if the raspberries are coming out yet. It has been so cold and rainy, they don't look good. Didn't have many blossoms earlier.
Went over to my mothers apt to pack it up sort stuff to donate to goodwill she goes into the nursing home tommorrow so I need to get all her clothes together so they can label them. I swear my parents didnt throw anything out I found bills from 1944 when my brother was born the hospital was 46.00 Then Im making baked ziti for dinner and just doing stuff around the house It is stormy here in NJ so good for indoor activites
We are having my parents and brother and nephew over for a bbq today for my Moms birthday. The kids are swimming already and all the prep work is finished so now its just enjoying my company when they get here. My other neice and nephew (dh's side ) were here for an overnight visit last night so its been a full weekend here but full of family so thats alright. I am looking forward to a quiet evening and day tomorrow though.
Made it to church(Praise God)
Got home and sweet hubby fed the kiddos
Working on our fall homeschooling schedule
Washing all the kiddos bedding today
Going for a walk later with the kids and hubby
Finishing up cleaning the Minivan
Ran to the store with my dad...had to buy coffee..it was on sale.
I've ran the dishwasher..washed 2 loads clothes, folded 3, played rummy with the ol' folks. Played Gin rummy with Dad's girlfriend...fought with dh over the fridge in the camper. (It's taken him ALL DAY to switch out a refridgerator). Good thing he doesn't do this for a living.~LOL~
Can't much clean the camper until he's done..which is why I'm so frustrated right now. I have to have it cleaned and packed by Friday night.~OMG~I have one week before fair starts~OMG
We spent the day at the lake. DS and DH fished for a while on the pier. I went with DD while she swam with a group of kids and teens. DS went swimming after he finished fishing. We had a picnic near the pier for lunch. We all had a blast!!!
Stopped by my mom's on the way home to pick up DS's birthday gifts from her, his great grandparents and uncle. He turns 14 tomorrow.
Came home to find MIL and FIL had left a card with $50 in it for my birthday at the house while we were gone. They gave DS his card and money last week but said they forgot to send mine home with DS. I really wasn't expecting anything from them so I was pleasantly surprised.
Ran to Wally World after eating dinner and watching Big Brother. DH and I bought DS another fishing pole, more hooks, weights, bobbers and a new cricket bucket to go along with the money we are giving him for his birthday tomorrow.
I am ready to crawl under the covers and snooze for a while. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Taking the kids bowling, to the movies then a big birthday dinner.
