Simple Sunday 8/30
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning!!!!
It's a beautiful (overcast) morning! I just got home from picking up my son from a Tae Kwon Do lock in! It's my mama's bday today so I am making a fresh loaf of bread and with the older bread I'm making butterscotch bread pudding! My house looks like a tornado hit it,but I am starting the pyramid challenge (a day late!). Better now than never! I'm excited for the day to begin!!! Now I'm off to start a load of laundry!

~Wow, that's an infectiously cheerful greeting! You made me laugh, Rebecca!
Let's see, today.... I have tons of things that should be done but I'm lacking any motivation to actually do them. What should be done:
kids haircuts
pick turkey/freeze
make broth/freeze
piece, sandwich and tie a quilt
review school materials
make yogurt
3 loads laundry
writing in homeschooler's journal
prepare mentally for starting school tomorrow
Hope you all have a Super Sunday!~~Constance

It's 54 degrees here this morning!!!! August in Indiana is usually brutally hot and humid (with the daily threat of tornadoes) so I'm digging it!!!
DD is home sick this morning
so I'm getting an early start on my list of stuff to do
I made sugar cookie dough yesterday, and am heating up the oven to bake it now (baking in August is a foreign concept to me!!)
DS invitied his girlfriend over after church, so I'll be feeding them
Promised myself a walk on the fitness trail at the local park later
Need to get a nap as I am working overnight shift tonight
Most of my other to-do's are paperwork, so I'm gonna take it all to work with me (I am a homecare nurse for an adorable little baby who sleeps all night- she is on a ventilator, feeding pump, various monitors and oxygen tanks, so there's lots of monitoring to do, but very little actual care)
Tomorrow I start on online course in nursing case management, so I'll try and look over the textbook and get an overview of the content before the actual work starts.
That should keep me out of trouble for another day!!!!!

Good morning all! It is overcast here as well. Nice breeze blowing though. I guess the remenants of Danny.
So far I have put a dent in cleaning up our spare room that is currently being used as a closet, with clothes everwhere! Ahh. It's a nightmare! I despise folding clothes.
I also cleaned up the kitchen a bit.
As for the rest of the day, I will see what I can accomplish.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning villagers!
It's a brisk, beautiful, sunny day here. 59 degrees right now with the high of 67, very odd weather for August in Iowa! I think it will be a long, cold winter. My mom lives on the Mississippi River by a grain elevator. The geese hang out there for as long as possible because of the unlimited food source getting dropped in transit between elevator and barge---they've all started to migrate already.
So far it's been a productive, but easy day!
~I folded towels, put them away, threw some clothes in the dryer, and started more in the wash.
~I lit candles and opened some doors/curtains to let the sunshine in. I shall have a fresh smelling house by the time the day is done.
~I took out garbage.
~I laughed hysterically as Wesley pattered around the house in a pair of my heels telling me he was going to work. Now I am watching him play with his geotrax toys. He has quite the imagination.
~I put clean dishes away and washed some dirty ones.
~I put my roast in the crock pot and scrubbed some veggies for dinner tonight.
My to-dos include the following:
~Keep the the laundry train going
~Take Wesley on a walk (We went on a great walk yesterday, we saw a weeping willow tree, a locust shell, an ant hill, and Wesley got to pet a neighbor's dog)
~Clean my bathroom and entryway.
~Help Wesley clean his bedroom.
~Clean my bedroom! Yikes it's worse than his!
~Work on the quilt I am cross-stitching for Maggie.
~Relax!McD

I don't feel as if I've been very productive yet today as I'm still in my pjs. but I've been puttering along.
So far:

~ 3 loads of linens (never got to this yesterday)
~ bunches of paperwork sorted through
~ called mom and checked up on things over there
~ delt with a plumbing issue
~ sorted coupons
Still to do:
~ pick up DH's car
~ more laundry
~ prep lunches for tomorrow
~ finish dinner
~ balance checkbook
After that I'm playing it by ear as it's gorgeous out.

Well good errrr, afternoon
ladies. I have been up for a few hours but haven't done much yet. I love Sunday's for this reason, no hurry to do anything, go anywhere, just take things as they happen. It's a cool 59 degrees here also and I don't see it getting up to the predicted 68 degrees. Like Nichole I think we are in for a nasty winter. Yuck!
So far I have-
gone to town to buy newspapers
had my 2 cups of coffee
went through ads and coupons (some really good deals this week)
laid chicken breasts out to thaw for dinner
I still need to-
fold clothes
wash bed comforter
finish running sweeper in living room
sweep and mop hallway and kitchen floors
watch football games
Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Well, we went to early church for the commissioning of DD's (and others') mission to Haiti. They are leaviIng Sat. 9/5. It's very exciting/emotional to watch her growing up and learning to serve others. She's been a very headstrong teen!
I'm doing laundry because that never gets a day off.
Going to do some knitting for Christmas presents.
The weather is unseasonable cool...love it...so it puts me in the mood to knit!
Take it easy everyone...there's only one Sunday in each week!Wife to Kevin: 20 years

Happy Sunday everyone! It's been a pretty peaceful day around here so far. We went to church this morning, then took DD to buy some dress pants and a couple of blouses.
Plan on making chili for supper.
Windows are up, it is so nice outside!!
Got laundry going, as usual, lol. Plan on finishing up September's budget this evening. Other than that, just gonna enjoy the rest of the day.DJ

Today wasn't incredibly productive, but it was a good day, nonetheless.
I went and bought two new back to school outfits at a local store that was offering 20% off for teachers, and I bought from the clearance rack, so I cleaned up!
I updated my blog.
I did the grocery shopping and put it all away.
I have laundry going and I'll iron and put stuff away later tonight.
I sat outside with the kids while they rode bikes and played for quite awhile.
For dinner we're finishing up the burgers and dogs that were in the freezer and I'll cut up some cucumbers for the monkeys.
Other than that...just chillin'!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com
